Hannah MacLaren, B.A.
Practicum/Internship Student
What do I do at CAPS?
My name is Hannah MacLaren, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Liberty University. I graduated with a B.A in Psychology pre-counseling from Oklahoma Baptist University. I am interning at CAPS under supervision to serve clients who are seeking counseling services.
What is it like to work with me?
As a counselor my goal is to meet my clients exactly where they are at in their healing journey. I desire to make my clients feel seen and heard as we process through their presenting concerns. I desire to create a space that fosters safety and unconditional love and care. I believe that there is so much power in bringing brokenness into a room and meeting it with love and compassion.
What do I do outside of CAPS?
Outside of CAPS and graduate school, I love spending time with my family and friends and going on spontaneous adventures. Other hobbies consist of baking, attending Pilates classes, and hiking. I also have a huge passion for working with children and serving those around me.
