Reagan Snead, B.S.
Practicum/Internship Student
What do I do at CAPS?
I received a bachelor’s in business management with a minor in French horn performance from Virginia Tech in 2021. After graduating, I spent two years ministering to college students as a staff member for the Baptist Collegiate Ministries at Virginia Tech, and I began working on my master’s in clinical mental health counseling through Liberty University’s online program. Currently, I am working as an intern for LU CAPS while finishing my master’s degree so I can pursue licensure in the state of Virginia. At CAPS, I assist in connecting students to mental health resources on and off campus, and I work with both individuals and groups. In particular, I co-lead Insight Through Art—an art therapy group designed to help students relax and process their emotions using different artistic mediums.
What is it like to work with me?
The Lord has given me a passion for loving people, helping them heal, and assisting them in discovering the freedom and joy available in this life. My goal in counseling is for my clients to feel heard and to feel safe to explore their stories, and I love collaborating with students as they take steps toward healing and growth. This is their journey, but I am honored to come alongside them with encouragement, support, and hope. For those who are interested, I also enjoy incorporating Christian interventions into our sessions.
What do I do outside of CAPS?
I love reading fantasy novels, watching anything Star Wars, and hiking at the Peaks of Otter. On the weekends, you can often find me playing board games with family and friends, traveling to new cities, attending concerts and musicals, visiting museums, or exploring local bookstores.
