Chloe Parker, M.A.

Resident in Counseling

What do I do at Counseling & Psychological Services?

I am a Resident in Counseling and within CAPS I provide both individual and group Counseling. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Los Andes University I am a Resident in Counseling who received a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I work with a variety of students from differing backgrounds as I journey with them through the counseling process.

What is it like to work with me?

We have all been made by God to be uniquely beautiful and complex. I see it as an honor to explore the complexity of others with curiosity and compassion. I seek to provide a space for people to feel free to express whatever thoughts or emotions might scare, confuse, surprise, or disrupt them, as I recognize our internal experiences do not define who we are.

I love exploring who God has created people to be, and creating specific action steps to live out whoever that is, day-to-day. I am particularly passionate about creatively integrating one’s faith throughout the counseling process, as I desire to see people authentically live out their values. I believe light-hearted laughter can aid in this process.

What do I do outside of Counseling & Psychological Services?

My favorite pastime is laughing; I find so much joy in laughing with my friends and family. Spending time with God by being in nature, journaling, and/or walking always refreshes me. I love to travel nationally and internationally when given the chance, as I love experiencing new cultures and seeing new places. I love to be outdoors and will take every opportunity I can to put my face in the sun. Being by any ocean is going to brighten my day, as well as playing tennis, baking/cooking, and creating a new Spotify playlist. My favorite days are the ones where I lose track of time, as I know I am fully enjoying the simple pleasures I often dismiss when I’m moving too quickly.
